Farmers that stored in 2021 their grain in silobags, made a solid profit by selling them in early 2022. They made 32% more money than they would have, if they sold at harvest. Those who plan this fall to store wheat in silobags, will see a 53% increase in profit, according to Grain Bags estimates.
This means that by selling 500 tons of wheat after 6 months from the moment of harvesting, they earned an additional profit of approximately 35,000 euros. If this year they continue to store in silobags, the estimated additional earnings will reach 45,000 euros, for 500 tons stored.
