Over 1 million tons of grain, stored in Grain Bags silobags
In June this year, Grain Bags company celebrated 6 years in the Romanian market and more than 1 million tons of grain loaded in silobags.
1. Increasingly large quantities stored every year in silobags
It started as a family business, but now Grain Bags is a reference name when talking about grain and feed storage. The silobag is an innovative storage solution, in which Narcis Ranghiuc, Grain Bags general manager, strongly believed. The storage system proved to be the right solution for most of the Romanian farmers. “In 6 years, since we are on the Romanian market, more than 1 million tons of grain have been loaded into our silobags. I am happy to notice the farmers openness to test the system, then to see how the quantities stored in silobags increase annually and how they prefer buying the loading /unloading equipment, rather than renting it from us”.
2. The largest quantity stored in silobag - 9,000 tons
9,000 tons is the largest quantity stored individually and 300 tons, the smallest. The most open to testing farmers were those from South country, followed by those in the West and North.
When speaking about the most important resource in any company, Narcis Ranghiuc believes that’s the team, the people you work with every day and also that it is vital to build a reliable long-term team. “My goal is to build a business based on moral values, not just to make money. For this, I realized that I need to find the right teammates, I must be close to the team and be a good leader.”
3. Future plans – expanding the sales team
As for this year development plans, Narcis Ranghiuc mentioned that Grain Bags will offer different storage solutions, not only silobag (Grain Bags – your specialist in efficient and economical storage), aiming to find the optimal storage solution for each farmer.
Another important Grain Bags objective for this year is expanding the sales team, to cover the entire country. Alongside with a new and improved website and more field days and other events as possible.
